Jaipur, July 10, 2019

In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (3) of the proviso to section 3 of the Rajasthan Electricity (Duty) Act, 1962 (Act No A 2 of 1962), the State Government being of the opinion that it is expedient in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts, with effect from 01.04.2018, from payment of electricity duty payable by a person on the consumption of energy generated by him within the State from,

(i) solar power plants set up for his own use; and

(ii) solar power plant set up under the Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission(Connectivity and Net-Metering for Rooftop and Small Solar Grid interactive Systems) Regulations, 2015.

subject to the conditions that the duty collected or charged, if any, shall be paid to the State Government and that the duty deposited to the State Government shall not be refunded.

This notification shall remain in force upto 31.03.2020.
