One of my clients is a manufacturer Tamarind Imli i.e. like lollypop chocolate. Ingredients are tamarind paste, chilly powder and jaggery. Please suggest me HSN and rate of GST for the same.
Reply- Toffees, caramels and similar sweets are classified under HSN code 17049030 and taxable @18%. Your client's product would fall under this entry or under food preparation nowhere else classified under HSN 2106 which also attract 18% GST.
