We dispose of the present writ petition by directing respondent No.3 to take a decision on the representation dated 06.03.2019 (taken on record today) and pass a speaking order after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of certified copy of order, in accordance with law.

Section 129 of the CGST Act, 2017—Goods in Transit -- The Petitioner, sought release of the vehicle of the petitioners detained by respondent for noncompliance of the provisions of the Act by respondents. The petitioners submitted that they have filed representation to respondent. The petitioners prayed that a direction be issued to respondent to take a decision thereon expeditiously in a time bound manner, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners.

Held that:-The Hon’ble High Court directed the respondent to take a decision on the representation and pass a speaking order after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of certified copy of order, in accordance with law. — Lakhveer Singh and Another Vs.
